|---|---|---|
| Low Rumble | 100Hz | Causes muddiness. Blooming bass guitar. Accumulates. |

| Nasal | 500Hz | Boxy. Heavy cold vocal. Accumulates. |
| Sharp | 4kHz | Harsh. Immediate. |
vs Multi-band compression
Turn up the volume and EQ the other way. You'll hear more nuances but it'll be huge. Or it'll be nasally agressive (turn up vol but down on high EQ).
100Hz, 1kHz, 10kHz - try to fix only with these. If too much 10kHz try adding 100Hz instead.
Push 1kHz for clarity but can go telephonic.
Turn up fader but pull 1kHz down: vocal sits into mix until it gets hollow.
For intimacy: try boosting 100Hz and 10kHz.
Boost 100Hz if competing with energetic mix.
